Grand Council Announces Next Chief Operating Officer

We are excited to announce the hiring of Nicholas Zuniga as the next Chief Operating Officer for Phi Sigma Kappa!

The Grand Council was very fortunate to have several extremely talented candidates come forward and express interest in leading our fraternity.  Based on the priorities and challenges ahead of us, and after much discussion and deliberation, Nick was the unanimous choice by the board.

Scott Jacobson, Grand President, commented “Nick’s experience, energy and enthusiasm came through loud and clear through this process.  He has a deep passion for the fraternal experience and is prepared to lead our staff toward some ambitious goals.  Nick comes to us from the headquarters of Lambda Chi Alpha, where he is a member. Nick is the right person at the right time, and we are confident in his ability to push Phi Sig to the next level. Our undergraduate and alumni brothers deserve someone with his experience to move us forward.”

When asked about him, Josh Orendi from Phired Up shared “Nick is young and hungry. He has been on the inside of a national fraternity that does a lot right. He will bring operational structure and systems to Phi Sigma Kappa. He was also a key decision maker when Phired Up was hired to help them upgrade their growth/expansion process.  Their expansion team is producing results they haven’t experienced before. Nick has trusted relationships with campus professionals that will be helpful, too.”

Nick is a graduate of Ball State University where he earned his BA in Journalism and Public Relations.  After working in the public relations industry for several years, he joined the staff of Texas A&M University for six years.  In 2012, Nick joined the headquarters team of Lambda Chi Alpha where he has lead a team of 21 professionals in exceeding their leadership programming, alumni engagement, expansion, and chapter services goals.

Nick, and his wife Tiffany, reside in Noblesville, Indiana with their two young children.  His start date in joining the team will be sometime in August, but is looking forward to meeting everyone at our General Convention at the end of this month.  In the meantime, you can reach him through email at nick@phisigmakappa.org.
