Phi Sigma Kappa COO Welcome

Gentlemen-

I am honored to write this letter as I begin my journey as Chief Operating Officer. It is a privilege to lead this great fraternity at a time of such meaningful change for our industry. Of all the many strengths of Phi Sigma Kappa, you—our dedicated Brothers—are the most significant. I am looking forward to working with all undergraduates and alumni as we move forward.

This is an energizing time in the world of fraternal groups, especially within Phi Sigma Kappa. We are fully engaged in navigating the numerous concerns and issues regarding fraternities, while we build on the enduring strengths of the Core Values and Cardinal Principles. We must and will continue to create a better society of men. This is the exciting journey we are on together.

While there is no denying that we face significant challenges, I came to Phi Sigma Kappa because I believe the opportunities far outweigh those challenges.  With our powerful membership base, rich history and new opportunities for education and expansion, we occupy a unique position. As Brother Jack Welch says, “Control your own destiny or someone else will.”

Over the past few weeks, I have been meeting with our staff, as well as, past and present board members. We have agreed to commit the Fraternity to the following initiatives:

  • Growth in both chapter size and number of chapters
  • A progressive education program
  • Investment in alumni mentorship
  • Superior chapter service

You can view more in a video I have created below

It will be my goal to get to every chapter and colony in the academic year to hear the issues you face, new ideas for the Fraternity and get a pulse for where our men are and need to be. I will do everything possible to get my message out to you and keep you informed as I do this. If you want to talk directly, call me at 317.573.5420; e-mail me at nick@phisigmakappa.org; or find me on Twitter @PhiSigCOO.

I am confident our best years lie ahead of us and that together we will continue to make Phi Sigma Kappa a fraternity you can be proud of.

Best,

Nicholas R. Zuniga
