Founders’ Day Proclamation from Grand President Chris Hoye

In 1873, six Founders’ came together to form the Brotherhood we all hold dear. Today we celebrate 148 years of this Brotherhood, the brothers who came before us, and the brothers yet to come. Below read a special message from Grand President Chris Hoye.

Today is another historic day for Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity – 148 years of growth and success providing our members with the best Fraternity experience in the Greek world!  Think of your closest friends as I bet they are Phi Sig Brothers – the ones you confide and consult with when times are tough and the ones you chose to celebrate in your happiest times!

We must give thanks and praise to our six Founders – Joseph Franklin Barrett, William Penn Brooks, Frederick George Campbell, Xenos Young Clark, Jabez William Clay, and Henry Hague for their clarity, focus, and forethought to create our grand, beloved Fraternity.  Add to this our merger with Phi Sigma Epsilon in 1985, and we have what we call Damn Proud to be a Phi Sig!

Today is also our 4th Annual Phi Sig Day of Giving! Brothers worldwide are donating to provide the Fraternity with valuable financial resources for our undergraduate brothers to have a better experience than our alumni had in their day.  Please consider supporting Phi Sigma Kappa with a gift!

As always, I remain humbled and honored to serve as Grand President and reaffirm my commitment to each of you to do my best to make Phi Sig better each day.  DAMN PROUD!
